Components
Call Recorder Service The Call Recorder Service sets up and manages the SIP messaging and RTP media traffic. Additionally it manages the call state, recording, and transcodes the audio into MPEG 2.5 layer 3 as well as managing jitter. The service acts as a SIP user agent or a back–to-back user agent to participate in the call for recording purposes.
Database and File Server The Database and File Server receives the recorded call files from the call recorder and hosts them for access by the SmartRecord IP interface.
Call Recording Web server The web server hosts the SmartRecord IP interface that allows the end user to access the recorded call files located on the database/file server. The web server also hosts the administrative interfaces for both the tenant and the service provider. The tenant administrative interface enables the tenant to create users with permissions to particular recorded extensions and determine how extensions should be recorded. The service provider administrative interface allows the service provider to establish and maintain tenant accounts based on recorded extension, in addition to the ability to maintain interface branding and file storage parameters.
All components may co-exist on one server or spread across multiple servers for greater scalability.
