Management Team

John Birbeck - Chairman, Chief Executive Officer and President

John Birbeck has served as a chief executive officer of CTI Group since June 2001 and as Chairman of the Board of Directors since July 2005. Mr. Birbeck’s technology focused career includes over 20 years experience of leading high growth companies in the data and telecommunications industries including Timeplex, Case, Tricom and Retix. Mr. Birbeck was a founder and director of Scorpion Logic, which was acquired by Bay Networks. In 1997, Mr. Birbeck founded and served as a director of Network Alchemy Ltd, developing the first, award winning Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system for the small/medium enterprise (SME) market. Network Alchemy Ltd. was acquired by Lucent and became part of Avaya Communications. From 2000 to 2001, Mr. Birbeck served as a director of Avaya Communications. John Birbeck holds a Joint Honours BS in Geology and Chemistry from the University of Wales.

Fred Hanuschek - Chief Financial Officer

Fred Hanuschek is the chief financial officer of CTI Group, with over 20 years financial experience with public, multinational and high technology companies. Prior to joining CTI Group, Mr. Hanuschek served as chief financial officer for ICC Technologies, Inc., a NASDAQ-traded company that designs, manufactures and markets technological, innovative climate control systems. Earlier in his career, Mr. Hanuschek served as senior audit manager for Coopers & Lybrand. Mr. Hanuschek is a certified public accountant, holds a bachelor’s degree from Pennsylvania State University and has completed international business studies at the University of Koln, Cologne, Germany. He also is an active member of the American and Pennsylvania Institutes of Certified Public Accountants.

Andy Wilson - Vice President of Sales & Marketing - International

Andy Wilson has over 17 years of experience working in the telecommunications sector.  Prior to joining CTI Group Mr. Wilson held senior management positions at BT and Siemens. 

David Latham - Vice President of Operations & Development - International

David Latham is responsible for software development, deployment, ongoing operations and support of CTI Group’s ebilling, bill analysis, and premise based communications management solutions. David has a background in software development, mathematical modelling and tariff analysis. Formerly employed by PA Consulting as Principal Consultant, David Latham has over 15 years of experience in the implementation of telecommunications billing solutions, financial/internet banking operations, change and configuration management, management information systems and 3G business planning for blue chip organisations within the financial, utility and telecommunications sectors.

Bill Miller - Chief Operations Officer - USA

Bill Miller is the chief operating officer of US operations. Mr. Miller is an information technology veteran with more than 25 years of experience working with high-growth telecommunications companies. As chief operating officer, Mr. Miller has managed the integration of three companies that merged to form CTI Group. Before joining CTI Group, Mr Miller was senior vice president and general manager of the communications division of Centillion Data Systems, a software development and information services company delivering electronic billing solutions to the telecommunications industry, which merged with CTI Group in 2001. Mr. Miller previously held senior sales positions, including director of sales and marketing for Compucom Communications, MCI Telecommunications and LiTel. Mr. Miller holds a bachelor's degree in marketing from Indiana University.

Sid Rao - Chief Technology Officer - USA

Sid Rao is the chief technology officer of CTI Group and key architect for new product development. With over ten years of professional experience with software companies, Mr. Rao leads all new product development, product management and technology strategy functions at CTI Group. Prior to joining CTI Group, Mr. Rao served in product management and development functions for Microsoft, Nortel Networks, Infosys Technologies, and Purdue University, where he was responsible for the development and launch of several product lines in a multitude of verticals, from consumer electronics to public telephone exchange software. Mr. Rao holds a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Purdue University.
